Conclusion
Children can adopt a hearing impairment through a number of ways. Although, whether a child is born with the impairment or the loss transpires after birth, it is a part of them that makes them unique from the typical developing child. Their uniqueness may stand in the way of reaching their full potential, but through support from family and the education system, a child who is deaf or hard of hearing can overcome any obstacles. It will not be easy at first. Learning your child has any form of a disability generates grief. However, through sources such as American Sign Language, Amplification Devices and FM Systems a child’s abilities are not limited when they have a hearing impairment.
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart".
